... Who are the top few people you would ever want to meet in YOUR lifetime? For me it was the man who's voice sent chills down my spine and whom I despirately tried to emulate but never could. Meeting Brad Delp was truly a highlight in my lifetime. If you look in the dictionary for the word humble, Brad's picture belongs there. How many of us met the voice that launched millions of albums and couldnt believe how truly down to earth is was to us, his fans? Thank you Brad for allowing me to tell you how much I loved what you did. My love goes out to you, Pam, Micki and all of us who will consider this the blackest of days. . . . Thank you Jon for allowing us to have this vehicle to post in. - Dave |

... My favorite band of all time! Me and my friends when we were around 12 years old would listen to Boston in my friends living room and pretend we were the band by using tennis rackets as guitars and singing the songs. Life will never be the same without them. |

... My brother called me during my ritual Friday night sushi, and I drped the sticks to come home, not believing him. Tears are streaming down my face as I write. WE have lost a brother and a friend. My heart goes out to Tom, Barry, Sib, Gary and everyone who Brad has touched in his short life. He has a new calling now. And I hope to meet him again in a better place. God Bless Us All. |

... I am in shock at the passing of Brad. His voice will be with me forever and I have passed the joy of Boston onto my son Geoffrey who just loves them even though he is from a younger generation. We both were at a Boston concert in Indianpolis just a few years back and guess who shook our hands and made small talk with us? You guessed it, Brad Delp! There will never be another voice like his. My deepest sympathy to his family. |

... My jaw just dropped watching the news. Brad was very talented and a very nice guy. The first time I saw Beatle Juice at Johnny D's in Somerville I remembered closing my eyes and thinking John Lennon was in Somerville and then Paul showed up. I just saw him play with Boston at the Doug Fluite party at Symphony Hall and Doug playing great drums with him on "Smokin". After most John or George songs in Beatle Juice he would do his little prayer salute into the heavens and look up. Don't worry Brad the musicians will be doing that to you for years to come. My thoughts go out to all his family, members of Beatle Juice and his fans. More than a feeling.... |

What a shock......we not only lost a legend but a genuinely nice guy.......Had his daughter in my class in '92 and had the pleasure of meeting him and getting to know him a little bit.....he donated money to a charity in my son's name when he was born....he played at our high school 2 weeks ago to help the music dept.raise money, as he has done many other times.......my family sends our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.....a real loss and not just musically....can't believe it. |

I am so sorry about his passing, and send my condolences to his family and friends. God Bless you Brad...RIP---and "Don't Look Back"...you are in a better place than us... |

... Wow, what a stunner. I screamed when I read the news. God, he was so young and definitely the nicest rocker I ever met. I was thinking about what a nice guy he was to me just last night, ironically. How he once invited me to spend the day backstage before an RTZ show. And how he met me out front before the show to bring my 35mm camera rig past security (the line of fans were blown away). And all the times he put me on Jim's backstage list. Even just shaking his hand in front of 15,000 fans was a thrill. He really knew how to make every fan feel special. As a fellow veggie and Beatles fan, I sincerely hope he's gone onto greener pastures. Hopefully he's up there jamming with John and George. RIP Brad! |

... Brad, one of the few performers that left a boyish smile on my face for hours the many times I've seen him live. He must have high 5 and shook my hand a half dozen times that last show I saw in Danville, 2004. Thanks for all the joy and for bringing out the kid in me. I am truly saddened and shocked. God bless Brad :( Frankie |
