Beatle Juice postpones Rochester Opera House concert

Beatle Juice, New England’s Beatles tribute band, has postponed the concert scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14 the Rochester Opera House because of injuries sustained by lead singer Brad Delp. Delp is also the lead singer for the band BOSTON.

John Muzzy, the spokesman for Beatle Juice released the following statement on Wednesday:

“Brad was in a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon. He was coming over a hill and his brakes failed to stop him from going into a suddenly stopped car and to subsequently flip over the car.

“The motorcycle ended up on his left leg and he sustained some injuries including many stitches and splinting of his left hand, loss of nail on his left foot and a fair amount of whiplash related injuries.

“Brad wanted me to extend his deepest regrets in not being able to do the show this weekend and wanted me to assure you and the folks in Rochester that we would make every effort to make up this show ASAP. As you can imagine we are all relieved there was no life threatening injuries sustained.”

I wonder if the accident caused his death? I wonder if there was a closed injury that led to this sudden loss of one of the greatest voices in music history? In the words of the Rush song Afterimage "Suddenly you were gone...from all the lives you left your mark upon...this just can't be understood"

I am sooooo glad that Brad was not injured in a critical manner. Auto accidents are bad enough, but obviously you have hardy any protection on a motorcycle. If anything tragic were to happen to Brad, I would be devastated, for his voice has had SUCH an indel(p)ible impact on my life and served as a training ground for my own vocal abilities. I love ya, bro!

Woah Bradley - scared me there for a moment!
I just read a byline for the accident and crossed my fingers that all was well.
Thankfully, reading further assured me Brad was fine.

You take care of yourself Brad. You and Tom are truly a huge part of rock and roll legend. My life would have not been the same without Boston.

Be good...

Honestly isn't that typical of Brad??? The poor guy gets seriously hurt and he [i}"extends his deepest regrets in not being able to do the show". Brad, we love ya. We know you care about us and we appreciate it. If you REALLY want to do us a favor, then sit back, relax and get better.

Ditto! GSW
