The summer has flown by, and we are down to our final days of touring. Many thanks to all of you that already have come out to see us, we look forward to seeing those of you at our last few shows. It’s been great fun being on the road with Styx, and the camaraderie and brotherhood that developed between the bands and their crews over the months has been heartwarming. Although it will be great to get back to our families and catch up on some much needed rest, we all regret that this has to come to an end ... we will miss the friends that we made this summer, and the excitement of playing BOSTON music for our amazing audiences. Here is a photo of us road dogs, taken by Jason Powell in Atlanta.

Jon Viscott also has some excellent shots that he took at several venues posted on gonnahitcharide.com, and Troy Bartlett has some of his great photos on boston.org. In addition to our wonderful fans that enable us to do this, we are also very grateful to the amazing crew (click to see some of them) that make it possible for us to get on stage and perform. Jackson Browne was right ... they are the first to come and the last to leave, and it’s amazing to watch how these skilled, hardworking people can turn several trucks full of road cases and an empty stage into a fully functional technical setting with more dials and controls than a 747 cockpit. Each one of them has a specific area of expertise that they are responsible for, but they also have to be integrated into the whole production, and they truly operate like a well-oiled machine. Tom Scholz says, “In 32 years of touring, this is the best BOSTON crew that I have ever seen, and these people are the reason that we are able to feel at home on stage in such a wide variety of venues night after night.”
We hope that you can all come see a show, and take advantage of this opportunity to experience BOSTON at its musical and technological best!
We are looking forward to our tour this summer! We have 60 preferred seating tickets for each venue... as the tickets become available from each box office, they will be posted on the following link:
